GPS Heaters are an affordable option to the more expensive and complex systems on the market.
Developed for weekly racers:
Priced < $100 Vs $800-$4,000
Easy to install, vs units that requires additional expensive fittings, hoses and hardware.
Simply cut lower radiator hose at the center of a 3” straight section to allow the heater to fit in line. Heater should be mounted with at least 15 degrees of rise to allow the natural flow of the heated water to rise flowing up into the engine.
Convenient to use at track, vs big external heating unit that has to be stored, hauled and wrestled in pits.
No special tools or complex instructions to follow. Simply plug-in to 110 volt source and ½-1 hr preheats coolant and helps reduce wear and tear on expensive race engines. For more extreme weather or depending on your mounting configuration, may require additional time to heat.
When time to race, simply unplug cord and ensure heater lead is properly tied or attached to racecar. Minimal crew required, easy and quick to use, even if it is a 1 person race team.
